Geotechnical/Materials Engineer

We are looking for a growth-minded, aggressive Geotechnical/Materials Engineer. Our company is in need of a project-oriented, technically excellent Geotechnical/Materials Engineer with a knack for dealing with clients and employees alike to run our materials testing division in our Corporate Office; a people person, with highly developed technical prowess and an ability to drive projects forward and ideas to completion. Participation with an aggressive and growth-oriented management team is just the beginning. We are looking for an employee that sees this job as an opportunity to help direct a company and take control of a profit center’s direction as well.

Responsibilities Include:

• Managing and solving technical problems
• Ensuring written and verbal communication is professionally executed
• Preparing engineering project proposals
• Establishing and maintaining primary contact with clients
• Supervising project managers, inspectors, and engineering technicians
• Evaluating staffing needs for the division
• Taking an active role in new business development and professional organizations

Skill Requirements:

• Bachelor of Science, Engineering or related technical field. Master of science is desirable.
• Alabama registered PE (Geotechnical Engineer preferred)
• 8+ years experience
• Strong organizational and writing skills
• Experience managing staff efficiently and effectively
• Proven track record creating and maintaining meaningful client relationships
